About me


I'm Jenny.

Having been brought up by an Arab mum it was written in the stars that I would love food. My sister and I were raised on all kinds of Middle Eastern food, created from recipes passed down generations of our Syrian family. We travelled a lot too, and half the fun for me has always been hovering around market stalls trying out the local delicacies.

Since the Syrian uprising began, I’ve sold my mum’s recipes in various formats to raise money for refugee support. In 2016 I had the pleasure of meeting a number of Syrians who had been resettled in my home city of Bath. Their hospitality and cooking was just incredible, and very inspiring. So I decided to curate a second collection of recipes, by Bath’s local Syrian residents and by friends further afield.
